Nutrition Programming
You can’t out train a bad diet, however, a healthy diet includes eating what you want. Confusing. Possibly. But fear no more, lead by our Registered Dietitian, you will have all your calorie needs and recommendations tailored to you. From there, as you progress through your training, your diet recommendations will change according to your goals and needs, and possibly even further into meal plans, meal timing, portion control, supplementation, and more!
Education
You cannot be expected to know something you were never taught. This is why everything we do at Clutch, we want you to ask questions about what we do everything. Allowing yourself to educate yourself on the importance of exercise and nutrition. Also, along the way, you will receive handouts, blog posts, emails, and discussion-based learning opportunities as a Clutch member to enhance your knowledge even further. That way, you will never be fooled by any gym rat, social media troll, or a salesperson in a supplement store ever again, and you will be the one educating them!
Accountability
Be honest, how easy is it to not do something? We walked away for a day before finishing this sentence! It’s so easy to put something off when you don’t have a deadline for someone else, that’s the game changer. We will ensure you do everything because you will be required to check-in for every workout and once a week, email us how you are doing with everything, and expect us to call you out every once in a while too!

THE TEAM
Dan, Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Founder
In my early childhood, I was the fat kid. Back then, I participated in peewee football in 6th grade and was actually over the weight limit of 120lbs where I wasn’t allowed to touch the ball, if I did, the play was dead… I still think about that till this day! Luckily, during middle school, I grew tall and started to play sports where I was active as much as I could, coincidently starting my love of the gym. Little did I know, it would start me down the path towards my undergraduate degree and to pursue graduate studies, all to know as much as I could about exercise and nutrition.
Now in the trenches of coaching kids as young as 8 and adults as old as 75, I see a lack of what commercial training provides and the quality of resources/information available for individuals just like you, who don’t have education in exercise and nutrition. This is not your fault, yet another reason for the sole purpose of developing Clutch. I want to bring back a personal approach to your fitness and your dreams. Just like a coach for any sports team, we want to achieve game-winning results, but here we pride ourselves on the quality of our game-winning goals, nutrition, and fitness. Now, that’s Clutch.

Growing up as a competitive gymnast, I have always appreciated proper nutrition in regards to athletic performance. It is amazing how different you can feel and perform based on the fuel you are putting into your body. “You can’t out train a bad diet,” could not be a truer statement. You can have the best personal trainer and an exceptional work ethic in the gym, but if your diet is not where it needs to be, you will never get the results you want.
Nutrition is an ever-changing science and my job is to decipher the on-going research and share that knowledge with you. I am here as a registered, licensed dietitian with the knowledge, experience, and training to help you reach your goals. Whether you are wanting to shape up for a special occasion or compete in a physique competition, nutrition is going to be an integral part of your journey.

Best Fit Nutrition For You
One size, diet, or workout regimen does not fit all. Everyone is different, and if you haven’t caught on, everything about dominating your healthy goals starts with you! Even nutrition, therefore, we will cultivate flexible diet methods, solutions around barriers in life, and continue a habit based approach to your diet. All of which will allow you to mirror what you want in your goals, but stay realistic to life events, schedules, and stresses of daily life in order to prosper in life! We will go into the basics and potentially lead up to super specifics like meal planning if the Clutch Registered Dietitian believes there is value in this approach, but expect:

- Protein/Carbohydrate requirement ranges for the day
- Learning the good, the bad, and the so-so of your current diet
- Ditching food rules, fad diets, and ignoring the food media propaganda

Before I met Dan, I was suffering from severe anxiety and depression. My doctor asked me to workout regularly to help promote serotonin through exercise and diet. I hired Dan as a trainer to help me through my crisis as a new member of my personal success team I found that Dan has a particular talent as a subject matter expert to see the client holistically, put together a success plan that is specific to the client and work together at a pace that is comfortable for the client, while driving results. After working with Dan over several months, I was able to get healthy, lose weight, gain strength (physically and mentally) and move forward with my life to achieve new goals for myself that I was formally unable to even imagine. Before I met Dan, I was in reasonable shape and had been an athlete for most of my life, but had lost a purpose and direction in my workouts. I’d never thought of the benefits of working with a trainer, trying to learn techniques myself. I had two big ski trips in the winter, so I started training with Dan in the fall to improve my base strength and exercise philosophy. He has been incredibly patient and helpful in explaining why he alternates the themes of each week and why certain complimentary exercises are chosen. He holds his clients accountable with gentle nudges and expectations, with a sense of humor; he knows your personality and is comforting, even when he is pushing your abilities. After a few months with Dan, I’ve found a new “gear” in my workouts which have translated into the best skiing of my life.
Will Nisbet
As I approached my 70th birthday, my best friend did a full court press to get me to sign up with Dan. I have arthritis in my back and tendinitis and bursitis in my shoulders in addition to an impinged nerve in my hip area and I was unsure about weight training. I signed up anyway and it has truly changed my life. I am now a couple of weeks shy of my 71st birthday and have been working with Dan a year. The first thing Dan worked on was my stability and I started seeing results immediately. I now move like a woman half my age and I feel confident I am no longer going to trip and fall. Dan has an incredible knowledge of human anatomy and movement. The workouts he designs for me never feel beyond my capabilities and very seldom do I feel sore. If an exercise doesn’t feel right to me, I discuss it with Dan and he comes up with an alternative workout to obtain the result he wants. If one of my preexisting issues pops up, Dan will give me specific stretches and movements to help manage the issue. He has gradually increased the intensity of my workout over this past year and I am now lifting heavier weights than I have ever been able to lift. I never dreamed I would be this strong and in this shape at this age. I can hardly wait to see my progression this coming year. I totally trust Dan and highly recommend him.

Before meeting Dan, my biggest challenge to working out was, am I doing the right exercises to achieve the results I wanted and am I doing the exercises the proper way so that I don’t hurt myself. Unlike some people, my goal for going to the gym was not for weight loss but more for toning and just an overall healthier more active lifestyle. I have always been one who is active and enjoys working out. Cardio comes easy to me, well easy as can be expected, but strength training has always intimidated me. Walking into the gym, all the different weight machines and weights, what weight to use, etc. I especially was embarrassed when trying to strength train and everyone seemed to be looking at me. When I started training with Dan I was impressed with the time he took to show me the correct exercises, techniques and repetitions. Dan also taught me how to properly mix strength, endurance and hypertrophy exercises to gain the best results. Other trainers I have worked with have not educated me in this fashion. Even when I was traveling he was willing to put workouts together so I could stay on track. This demonstrated he was willing to invest time in me and my goals. Working with Dan, I have become stronger both mentally and physically, over the past year. Most of all, I have gained more confidence than I could have hoped for. Cancellation/Training Policy:
If you wish to cancel any subscriptions, notify theteam@clutchdp.com no less than 5 business days from billing date. No refunds will be granted once payment has been processed.
Once a subscription is canceled, or payment is not met within 5 business days of the billing date, all online programs will be suspended until future payment is processed. Clutch Dietetics & Performance, LLC has all rights reserved to accept, decline, refund, or terminate memberships at the discretion of the management team at any point of the payment process.
